SOMES OF THE CURRENT PROCEDURES REALIZED BY DR MARES

Carpal tunnel release

The median nerve is compressed by the retinaculum ligament. With ultrasound assistance, we cut the ligament without the need for the palm or wrist to be opened. This minimally invasive technique means that the recovery period from the surgery is less than 24 hours and involves no permanent scarring.

But the restoration of the strength takes 2/3 months.

Trigger finger

To release the tendon that is getting caught, widening the tendon sheath is required. To do this, traditional surgery would open the finger to expose the tendon sheath. We used a specific device that reduced the cutaneous incision. You don’t have any stitches and you can use your finger just after the surgery for daily activity.

The blocking effect disappeared immediately but the tendon inflammation would disappear in 2/3 month.

Epicondylitis / epitrochlitis

These pathologies are common to manual workers or high-level athletes. Minimal invasive surgery design by Dr Mares allows a faster recovery and quicker healing than classic procedures. The technique decreases the pain in a few days and you reuse your arm immediately. You can return to sport and hard activity in a few weeks.

Ulnar nerve

The compression at the elbow can be treated with minimal invasive surgery changing completely the recovery period. You can use your arm immediately. The pins and needles in the fourth and fifth fingers disappear in a few days. You have no stitches.

Lacertus Fibrosus, Radial nerve

Sometimes you feel weakness in the forearm or the hand and few doctors understand your pain. MRI or EMG are negative. You may suffer from hidden nerve compression. Dr Mares will take time to find the right spot. Then an infiltration or surgery will be proposed to cure this problem with an optimal recovery.
